This Privacy Policy explains how WeeBie Media, LLC ("WeeBie," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information in connection with our website at weebie.net and our hosted demonstration environment at demo.weebie.net (together, the "Services"). We designed WeeBie around data minimization, and this policy reflects that.
WeeBie Monitor is self-hosted. When you run the software, the AI traffic and data it processes stay on your own infrastructure and never reach us. This policy covers only the limited information we handle through our marketing website, our optional demo, and the customer portal — essentially cookieless usage analytics and the details you choose to send us through a form or a portal account.
1. Information You Provide to Us
When you submit our contact or newsletter form, or request demo access, you may provide your name, email address, organization name, the topic of your inquiry, and the contents of your message. We use this information to respond to you, to send the newsletter if you subscribed, and to provide demo access if you requested it. If you create a customer portal account (weebie.net/portal), we store your email and name and the service requests (tickets) and messages you submit there, so we can manage and respond to your requests.
2. Information Collected Automatically
When you visit, we measure aggregate usage — pages viewed, referring page, broad browser/device type, and approximate country — using privacy-friendly, self-hosted analytics that runs on our own infrastructure. It sets no cookies and does not store your IP address or any identifier that singles you out; the results are aggregate and cannot be traced back to you. We also keep standard server logs briefly for security and reliability. See our Cookie Policy. We do not use Google Analytics.
3. How We Use Information
- To respond to your inquiries and provide the demo or newsletter you requested;
- To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Services;
- To understand how visitors use the site, in aggregate, so we can improve it;
- To detect, prevent, and address technical issues, fraud, or abuse; and
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
4. Legal Bases for Processing
Where the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation applies, we process information on the following bases: your consent (for the newsletter); our legitimate interests (responding to your enquiries, operating and securing the Services, and understanding aggregate site usage through analytics that store no personal data); performance of a contract (providing a customer-portal account or demo you asked for); and compliance with legal obligations. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.
5. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as follows:
- Service providers: our forms deliver your message to our support mailbox through our email provider (DreamHost); our website, analytics, and customer portal all run on servers we control. We do not use Google Analytics or any third-party analytics or advertising service, and we do not share visitor data with one.
- Legal and safety: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of WeeBie, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers: If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
6. The WeeBie Monitor Software
WeeBie Monitor is deployed and operated by you on your own infrastructure (cloud, on-premises, or air-gapped). Data that the software inspects, meters, or logs is stored on your systems and under your control. For that data, you are the controller and WeeBie is not a processor, because that data never reaches us. For enterprise customers who require one, a Data Processing Addendum is available on request at support@weebie.net.
7. Data Retention
We retain form submissions and portal service requests for as long as needed to handle and follow up on your request, and portal accounts until you ask us to close them. Our analytics hold only aggregate, non-personal data. We delete or de-identify information when it is no longer needed, subject to legal requirements.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information under our control, including encryption in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. International Transfers
We operate from the United States, and information you provide may be processed there. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.
10. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information; to object to or restrict certain processing; and to withdraw consent. If the California Consumer Privacy Act applies to you, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion or correction, and to not be discriminated against for exercising your rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law. To exercise any right, contact us at support@weebie.net; we will respond as required by applicable law.
11. Children's Privacy
The Services are intended for businesses and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Do Not Track
Our analytics set no cookies and collect no personal data, so there is nothing for a browser "Do Not Track" signal to disable. If you sign in to the portal, you can control the one essential session cookie through your browser (see the Cookie Policy).
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
